went out to bob hall with the family..was gonna set up a slide line but the king bite was slow and the reds were thick so we picked on them for a bit..the wife landed 6 slot reds, i landed more than a few and the kiddo cranked on one the best she could..bait of choice was live and cut pinfish..we released all the reds we caught to fight another day..i caught my first bull red of the year..i had chummed some watermelon shad and looked up to see 15 gold bull reds cruising by i cast and had one pick my bait up as it hit the water..another 40 bull reds swam by as i did battle with the 35+ inch red..the reds and the bait vanished after the bulls came through..

they showed back up just after dark, my buddy got two slot reds for the table..a guy landed a red with a leader in its mouth, i looked at it and it was my leader i had broke off lifting a red with..the red had come back to the pier hours later to feed again..i tied that leader on and landed a 29inch drum with it shortly after..landed a few spanish mackerel on my slide line they wouldn't leave me alone..another awesome day at the pier..
