Not sure where you live or what type of Salt Water fishing you will be doing but if you rinse the reel and clean your line after each use the reel will last you for a good while.

I am assuming you are talking the large arbor model which the one you want and I believe is on sale right now for $65.00

When I say clean it just run it under the faucet after you pull all the fly line off the reel into some cool water in the sink and run the line thru you fingers from the backing to the leader than back again to the backing, and then wind back onto the reel. While washing the line tighten the drag down and remove the spool and let the frame with the drag soak. Rinse the spool while out of the reel. After washing the line, replace the spoo, loosen the drag (very important and you should always do this when done fishing )and rewind the line.

I like the Orvis Access Reels. I own 4 with spare spools. The drag is sealed and they seem to hold up to the saltwater good. I was them off after each trip. I would look on the Orvis website and read the reviews for the reel you are thinking about.

The Orvis Clearwater reel is a great one to break in on...especially based on the price point. The rods are extremely impressive too. They have really revamped the Clearwater rods and they are like casting a high end rod at a cost that is easy on the wallet.

Hi, I never use this real. So i don't have any information regarding this reel. The price is good for that reel.
